Fault finding & repair
Warning light, limp mode, a DPF that will not regenerate, an EGR or AdBlue fault: found with live data and fixed properly.

What we look at
- Limp mode Why the car has cut power, and what fixes it.
- DPF Blocked filters, failed regenerations, sensors.
- EGR Sticking valves, coolers, codes.
- AdBlue (SCR) Countdown warnings, pumps, sensors and NOx faults.
- Lambda and sensors Readings checked live, not guessed from a code.
- Before any remap A fault is fixed first; we do not tune a sick engine.
The law
Repair first
A road car in the UK must keep its emissions equipment working: removing a DPF, EGR or AdBlue system is an MOT fail and against the law on the road.
So we fix them. Software changes to emissions systems are for competition and off-road vehicles only, and we ask what the vehicle is used for.

On the day
How a remap at MMT goes
- 01 Book in Online, by WhatsApp or by phone. Tell us the car and what is on it.
- 02 Free health check Fault codes, boost, fuelling, the state of the car. We do not tune a sick engine.
- 03 Your map Written for your engine and hardware. We read and save the original first.
- 04 Checked Live data on the road: boost, fuelling and timing where they should be.
- 05 On the dyno, if you like Before and after runs on our rolling road, printout included.
- 06 Paperwork A receipt for the work and what was changed, every time.
Is a remap safe for my engine?
A remap written for your car, on a healthy engine, stays inside what the parts are built to take. That is why we check the car first (the health check is free) and why our software is developed on our own rolling road. We do not tune a car with a fault until the fault is fixed.
Will it affect my insurance or warranty?
Tell your insurer: a remap is a modification, and most insurers cover it once they know. A manufacturer warranty can refuse a claim on a part the remap could affect, so ask us before you book if your car is still under one.
Can it go back to standard?
Yes. We read and save the original file before we write anything, so the car can be put back to standard.
How long does it take?
Most Stage 1 remaps are done the same day. A dyno session, gearbox tuning or Stage 2 and 3 work take longer: we tell you when you book.
Do you remap at shows and events?
Yes, at many of the shows on our calendar. Message us before the day to check we can do your car there.
Can I pay monthly?
Finance options are available. Ask when you book and we will tell you what fits the work.
